Can not re-enable sync via Dropbox
Noticed earlier today that data had not sync'd via Dropbox between MD 2021 (2006) and iphone iOS 14,4,2 for about a month.
Have tried to restart including setting to dont sync, closing application, deleting dropbox folder and restarting.
Now when I try to re-enable hitting the OK button on attached screen does nothing,
I am not a big user of Dropbox nor actaully of MD on the iOS app - what am i missing.

Hi Paul,
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
Please can you try following the steps below:
Open Moneydance on the computer, to access the file you'd like to share. Choose File --> Syncing.
In this window you should pick a Dropbox sync method.
Click on Show Passphrase from the same window shown in your screenshot here
When you open the mobile app click on the blue 'Dropbox' title and logo at the top of the screen. This will allow you to connect with Dropbox and access your sync files.
You should pick the file you want to view, and enter the syncing encryption password to match the computer.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.

> I have already cleared the App - it is waiting to find a file in Dropbox. To me the issue appears to be that when setting up Sync using the Dropbox Folder method the folder/file is not being created in Dropbox - there is no message to this affect just that the OK button on the Sync settings screen is not effective. Equally the Change Passphrsed button has no effect. Show Passphrase does show the same value that existed prior to me trying to resolve the issue.

Hi Paul
If you deleted the “.moneydancesync” folder in the Dropbox folder then as there is a bug in 2021.1(2006) then as you descried you want get past the OK button when setting up syncing.
This bug is fixed in the latest preview build, download and install and try again.

Hope this helps.

I'm a fellow user.
Preview builds are also how Moneydance provides fixes between stable builds.
If you do not want to install the preview build and the lack of the .moneydancesync folder is the problem then you can try recreating it manually in Dropbox.

Hi Paul
The preview build as dwg stated fixes a number of bugs in 2021.1(2006) including the one you face. I am running this preview currently 2021.1(3066) and it’s a lot better than 2021.1(2006). Still if you don’t want to us it manually create the folder “.moneydancesync” in Dropbox.
Hope this helps.

I went for the manual re-creation of the folder in Dropbox and the sync process has now run ok.
I'll bear in the mind the infor about the preview builds.
Thanks to those who provided feedback and advice - once again the community has proved to be a great source of knowledge and insight.

the preview build that is now 3066 has been tested to death.... it's probably soon to become the next stable version 2021.1 (IMHO). It's much better and more stable than 2020.2006..
