I'm so sorry for this problem, and we are working to sort it out automatically. In the meantime, here's one thing you can do on the desktop side of Moneydance that should allow the android devices to sync faster and more reliably:</p>
<p>1) Close Moneydance on all desktops and devices<br>
2) Open your <code>.moneydancesync</code> folder in the dropbox web app, as in the following link: <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/home/.moneydancesync">https://www.dropbox.com/home/.moneydancesync</a><br>
3) From that link you'll see one or more subfolders, each with a long alphanumeric name. Each of those subfolders contains the sync data for one of your synced files. You'll want to open the folder(s) corresponding to whichever file you are trying to use on your Android devices. You can see the name of the file associated with each sync folder by clicking on the <code>tiksync_info.txt</code> file within that folder.<br>
4) For each folder you'd like to fix, rename the "v3" subfolder to something like v3-backup<br>
5) Open Moneydance on your desktop and load the file that you'd like to sync. Moneydance will re-populate the v3 folder with a consolidated set of data that Moneydance on Android will be able to load quickly and easily.</p>
<p>The iOS/iPadOS version of Moneydance is still using the minimal data that is synced using the old method. Yes it is faster, but it means that until we update the iOS app to use the full data set, it won't be as capable or complete as the Android app.</p>

Before implementing Javier's solution, I switched off syncing, deleted the app and restored from a previous backup to make sure the data was good.
