New Android Version Won't Open Sometimes
I have the new version, build 76 for Android, and, at times, it won't open. When I click on the app to open it, it flashes and then just returns to the home screen. I have to go to my recent apps list and close the MeneyDance app. Then it will open.

Hi Kevin,
Sorry to hear about the issue you're encountering.
Unfortunately, some issues with the new Android mobile app were reported soon after its release. The development team are working to fix these problems, but in the meantime, if you wish to revert to the previous version of the app, we have reinstated it as a "beta" release.
A beta of the Android version is now available for download here - at the bottom right of the page, or via Google Play.
You can subscribe to the Google Play services beta using a web browser, or directly through your device. After you've signed up it will be automatically downloaded on all devices using the Google account you signed up with. After re-starting your device, you will be running the beta version.
I flagged this discussion so you will be notified as soon as a new repaired version of the Android App has been released.

So it looks like the Moneydance app was reverted to the previous version
even though I didn't want to. Because you reverted it I lost all this
week's worth of data entry. I am on vacation, out of town and I've been
entering in all my expenses to be synced when I get home next week. This
morning I went into the app and everything that I entered this week is
gone. Now I'm screwed., I've list all that data.

I hope all my existing transaction from before last are ok because they are
looking very strange now in the reverted app. The amounts are not showing
up correctly in the list. Some of them only show the last number in the
amount. If I open the transaction it shows the correct amount, but when I
close it and view the transaction list it just shows the last digit. And
if I return to the home account list screen and go back into the account
it's different transactions that show only the last digit.
I've had to reenter all the transactions that I lost when you reverted the
syncing changes. I hope they will sync correctly when I get home and this
doesn't screw up all the old transactions.

Hi Kevin,
I'm so sorry for the trouble this release. The 76 update synced the complete data set, but it had problems for some people with older data sets so we reverted to the previous version of the app. If the 76 version that was released two weeks ago is preferred then we will soon be pushing updates to it in our Google Play beta channel, while we keep the "old" version as the current public release until we're confident that switching from the old to new syncing models will be completely reliable.
In the meantime, you can see the raw files that the app syncs by going to the dropbox folder that contains the files here: http://dropbox.com/home/.moneydancesync
The data under that folder is encrypted, so you won't be able to read it, but it should given you an idea of the data that is there by checking the timestamps of the *.txn files under any subfolders shown in the dropbox URL above. Any transactions added or edited in the new (build 76) version of the app will appear under the "v3" subfolder.
It is confusing I know, and I apologise for the disruption. I believe that all of your data will be preserved and can verify that if you'd like to do a screen sharing session from a windows or mac computer.

I am not at home and won't be until next week. I can't check the data in
dropbox. Which set of data will be synced to my desktop MoneyDance next
week when I get home? The new version data that I started the week with or
the old data set that I'm now using? If I switch to the new version as
beta will it try to sync both sets?

So I just got home and am updating my desktop MoneyDance. It looks like it
doubled all the transactions that I entered this last week. So all the
transactions I entered under the new version of the mobile MoneyDance app
plus all the transactions I reentered in the old MoneyDance app that you
reverted to last week.
So now I have even more work to do to straighten out this mess,

This is to inform you that we have submitted an update to the Google Play store, which should resolve the issues that were found in the recent release.
The new version is version 2021.2 (92) and it's available now.

How do I know which version I have installed? I see no about screen that shows the version. I think I have this version and it appears to be working.

Navigate to your apps within your mobile device, press the Moneydance icon and select App info, scroll down and click on Advanced, then the version will be displayed right at the bottom of your screen.

Thank you. All it says is 2012.2, but not the build #. I assume that
2021.2 is build 92.
