Sync
After installing a new hard drive I have downloaded and reset up Md on my PC, but I am not able to sync to my Android thru Dropbox anymore. I have gone thru the sync set up several times, but the phone does not update. I have disconnected and reconnected sync several times and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I DID NOT log out before installing the new HD. Is that an issue, and if so, what is the workaround? Other suggestions?

Hi Tony,
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
Which version and build of Moneydance are you using?
To check, open Moneydance and select Help --> About Moneydance (or Moneydance --> About Moneydance on a Mac) where the version and build number will be displayed.
Can you let me know which operating system you're running on your computer/s?
Generally, when setting app sync, your data file should not be stored within any folder that is shared - Dropbox, iCloud etc., as outlined in this article
Firstly, you should launch Moneydance and select the file you wish to sync.
When viewing the file, choose File --> Syncing->Dropbox Folder.
Select 'Show Passphrase' to check which password has been set and take note of it, as you will need to enter the same on your mobile app later.
On your phone, open the Moneydance app and select the cog/gear icon to access your settings. Choose 'Disconnect'. You'll then be taken back to the initial setup screen.
Connect with Dropbox and you'll see a list of files available for syncing. Pick the file you need. If there are multiple files, you should be able to view the time/date stamp to see which file has been accessed most recently. Then enter the encryption password that matches the computer.
Can you try this and let me know if you encounter any problems?

Thanks for your response.
I have 2020.2 (1929)
Win 10 PC, want to sync to Android 9
Frustration is that it synced fine before installing new SSD
I have gone thru all the steps you outlined several times to no avail.
Re reading to make sure I have not missed a step
Not sure where Data file is stored, is there a default?
Appreciate your help 勞

The default location on Windows is: C:\Users<username>.moneydance\Documents
as outlined in this article of the Knowledge base.
The steps for syncing with the mobile app are also outlined in this article
