Lost data with new install

Hi
I have just purchased a new computer and install moneydance. I thought I had my data file on dropbox connection but also noticed that there was a copy on one drive. Problem is when I opened the new computer it some how came up with an old data file and now it synced and looks like I've lost everything.
Any suggestions.
Much appreciated.
