Syncing not working

Hi
I have installed mondeydance on my new computer and restored from a backup file but now I cannot sync. Syncing option is greyed out. How can i sync from the restored file.

   Toolbox extension.
   Advanced mode.
   Promote to primary button.

   Just to complete the loop, the reason the syncing option was greyed out was because the restored data set was from a secondary system and to use such a backup it must first be reset to be a primary system.
