Sync has stopped working

Hi, my sync is only working one way, from MacBook to iPad. Not syncing from iPad to MacBook. I haven't changed any settings. Any suggestions?

    I am on android and I have already cleared cache and data, then uninstalled, then restarted the phone and then reinstalled.

    Tony, can you respond to post 26 above? Replace iPhone for android phone.

    The posts are not numbered so I can't be sure which one you mean, I think you are referring to the the Dropbox log in screenshot, mine says logged in as Tony, then goes on to no folder found.

    ... and if you disconnect/log out, do you then get a new login screen?

    No, just a blank page. I have to do the clear cache uninstall reinstall before I get a login page again.

    ... and even after all that you cannot see any datasets? ... And you are sure you are logging in to the same dropbox account? Do you have another phone you can try?

    No, I only have one phone and 100% it is the same account.

    Tony,

    Does it ask for the encryption code at any point?

    I’m somewhat stumped. Can you try this.
    - do NOT manually delete any files from .moneydancesync - toolbox. Hacker mode. Hacker. Force reset sync setting. - restart md, then reenable sync. - check Dropbox folders online. Show me what’s in the .moneydancesync folder now.

    Something is wrong... Your folder name is the same as before... ie.
    116f5xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxdb3. You should have seen a new folder appear in dropbox with a NEW number.... Do you see one or two folders in .moneydancesync now?

    (also I contacted the developer and he said: We might need to update the dropbox SDK in the Android app. ...Dropbox did have an update coming up that would require a newer version of the SDK in mobile apps. The iOS app is still working, but if the Android app isn't then it might be that we still have a too-old version of the dropbox SDK on android.)

    ... and can the Android app see them..?

    If not, then I am suspecting the android app needs to be updated..... I have no other ideas... sorry...

    There seems to be an issue with the Android mobile app that occurs independently from the version of Moneydance you run on your computer.

    So, I have reported the same to the development team for further advice.

    From the developer:

    “ ok, a new build of the android app is now in review for release in the play store "open testing" channel. Once it is approved by google it should be available to anyone who's registered for beta/test updates, including people who've signed up through the link on the preview page.”

    Hi

    Go to https://infinitekind.com/preview
    Click on Android Beta Signup
    Once you are set up as a tester you should be able to uninstall the current Android Moneydance app and install the beta just by going to Play Store and searching for Moneydance. It may take some time for Play Store to register you have switched to a beta tester.
    Also you should note Sean has only just released the new beta and it can take google a few days to approve and load the new app.
    So if it states last updated 14 Jun 2021 then the new beta is not yet available.
