Android Dropbox sync re-connection shows "No folders found"
Hi, I had a sync'd Android app with MD running on a Linux desktop. While I still think sync is flaky, it was mostly working.
But last night I wanted to add a third MD device (macbook) so I shut down the linux app, backed everything up (.moneydance folder and Dropbox .moneydancesync), and installed on Mac. Successfully got initial sync on Mac done overnight, but starting this morning the Android app would no longer sync in either direction with the pair of Mac and now running again Linux apps.
So I disconnected Android sync and ever since have been unable to successfully re-attach to sync. I authorize it to Dropbox successfully but always get a blank screen after a brief popup "No folders found". I can see the .moneydancesync folder in my Dropbox on the phone, and the sync files are recent, so I'm not sure what to do next. I tried uninstall and reinstall of the Android app, no luck. Just to confirm that I have the latest, the Android app hasn't been updated since June 2021?

Sync on android broke last night. The IK developer has uploaded a new app to the apps store today. When it’s approved, you can get it via the beta/preview channel.

Go to https://infinitekind.com/preview
Click on Android Beta Signup
Once you are set up as a tester you should be able to uninstall the current Android Moneydance app and install the beta just by going to Play Store and searching for Moneydance. It may take some time for Play Store to register you have switched to a beta tester.
Also you should note Sean has only just released the new beta and it can take google a few days to approve and load the new app.
So if it states last updated 14 Jun 2021 then the new beta is not yet available.

Thanks to both of you, it's a relief to know this isn't something in my environment. I'm now in the beta program and will reinstall when I see a 2022 update in the Play store (it's not there yet).

Unfortunately there was an update to Dropbox that interfered with the syncing process for Android devices. We believe we have fixed the issue, and released a new test version on our Android beta channel. If you would like to test the beta, you can sign up to download it on our preview page: http://infinitekind.com/preview
Assuming it resolves the syncing issue for those who test it, we will then send it out as an update to the main release. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

I experience the same issue, I am unable to complete reinstall of my moneydance Android app as it is unable to detect any folders in Dropbox. I followed above instructions, signed up to the Beta app, but it is unclear to me how/when the app will upgrade to the Beta version. It doesn't...

Same here, I am a Beta user but no new app to download so still can't use Moneydance.
Do we need to install the latest Desktop program too?

At time of this post Play Store have not yet approved/released the new beta app.
So until that happen Android syncing will not work.
Moneydance for computers preview build 2022.3(4070) was updated to include the Dropbox update.
However, I have reverted to 2017.10(1706) on one of my computers to test and it still sync with another computer running 2022.2(4072).
So, do you need to update the computer Moneydance to the latest preview?
Maybe, probably not, eventually, but I don’t know when.

Is there another choice besides dropbox?
For example, I use onedrive... can I establish syncing via onedrive?
It looks easy on the PC side, not so much for android or iphone...

As far as the Android device is concerned Dropbox is the only shown in town.
The Mobile app has a embedded Dropbox API which connects directly to you Dropbox Cloud server.

I can confirm Android beta 2022.1 15 Apr 2022 is now available to beta testers and works on my two Android phone.
If you haven’t already go to https://infinitekind.com/preview
Click on Android Beta Signup.

Just to confirm the app became available for me today and all works again (without needing to update the desktop program either)
Also, this morning I changed my wife to a Beta user and that worked within minutes for her (took hours for me) and the app was available for her to download straight away.
All working.

But we now have two transactions that are showing as duplicates in the Android Apps and they are persistent, ie we can't delete them. They no longer appear in the desktop app, but can't get rid of them from the Android apps.
Any ideas?

I am still having issues with this process. Can someone do a complete step by step process maybe. I am an Android mobile App user and I am on Windows PC desktop version 2022.3 (4068). I am also using MoneyDance +.
I signed up as a beta tester on Infinitekind website as recommended. I went to Google Play store and found MoneyDance. It shows as MoneyDance(Beta) in the store. It also says "You're a beta tester for this app. App last updated on April 15, 2022. Just to make sure I deleted the old app and then install the new on my phone. When I go into the reinstalled app it asks all the information to get me synced uo again and I follow the steps. Unfortunately, the data is still old data and will not update. At the bottom of the app, it shows the date and time of today as time last synced. It is just not the latest data. I went in and out of the Desktop application several times. As I close it down each time is shows "Syncing data and backing up data" but the data in the app is not changing.
In the Desktop app, I have sync set for Dropbox folder. Should that be changed? Also, should I delete the Dropbox folder on the Desktop and/or should I delete the data that is in Dropbox.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
MoneyDance is a great application on the Desktop and it is nice to have information on my phone if needed. The phone app has worked great in the past.
