Moneydance suddenly decided not to sync with my phone. I run the program on my desktop mac and sync to an android phone through dropbox. Now my phone says "no folders found" when I try to sync.

Me too, however the new beta is pending approval.

N.B. Derek's response in the link that I sent you:

"Also you should note Sean has only just released the new beta and it can take google a few days to approve and load the new app. So if it states last updated 14 Jun 2021 then the new beta is not yet available."

    Hi Martha

I can confirm Android beta 2022.1 15 Apr 2022 is now available to beta testers and works on my two Android phone.

If you haven’t already go to https://infinitekind.com/preview
    Click on Android Beta Signup.
Once you are set up as a tester you should be able to install the Android Beta Moneydance app by going to Play Store and searching for Moneydance. It may take a short time for Play Store to register you have switched to a beta tester.

    Back in business!

    Thanks Derek.

Just opened the app and it took awhile, but it did sync again.

I wish that there was a "force sync," or "sync now" button, but hey It works!

Thanks again for the heads up!

    Hi TonyRI

If you are finding this beta slow, you may want to leave beta testing. This new beta has already been promoted to release.

The next beta is the same fix applied to an old beta 2021 (build 76)
Beta 2021 (build 76) may take longer to do a sync, as all data is synced except attachments.
It was a step towards a full feature mobile version. Although the UI has not yet been updated to allow access to this data. You get everything you currently get but improved layout, account type totals, search feature, better calendar etc. I am happy for syncing to take a little longer if I can get back to what I had in beta 2021 (build 76) updated 5 Jun 2021.

    Hope this helps

It wasn't a complaint about the beta. It was an observation and a proposed suggestion. Whether it was beta, or not, you always had to wait for the sync. There is no feedback, so I wasn't sure if it was working, or not.

With my FitBit watch I can click on "Sync Now" to force a sync. You see a spinning wheel with a result as it tries to sync.

    That's all.

I will remain a beta tester.

    Hi TonyRI

In that case bring on the next beta Sean and I hope you think it’s a step forward as well.

Unfortunately there was an update to Dropbox that interfered with the syncing process for Android devices. We have fixed the issue, and released a new version 2022.1 on 18 April 2022. .
You should simply uninstall your Moneydance mobile app, re-install the app and restart your phone.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
