Mobile and Desktop not talking to each other
Hi, i have a problem where the iphone app and desktop app don't seem to be talking to each other. I sync through dropbox and have not had any issues until recently. The iphone seems to be syncing OK as it states the last sync time on the bottom of screen. I therefore assume the problem is with the desktop app I am running on my Windows 10 Pro laptop. The Moneydance version I have is 2017.5 (1639).
So far I have changed it to not sync, restarted the app and then reselected the dropbox option. I have also opened up and old file and then reopened the current file. None of these actions seem to have made any difference. Any ideas as to what I can do next?

I have the same problem. Moneydance stopped syncing to my iMac from my iPhone
about 6 weeks ago. I just now noticed, because I always use Moneydance on the iPhone and rarely open it on the iMac On my MacBook Air laptop, the syncing stopped about 3 weeks ago I have version 2017.10(1706) on both the desktop and laptop.

Dropbox folders or connection?
What version of MacOS?
I know the Dropbox sdk has recently been updated in the latest app and also that Dropbox have been ‘cutting off’ older apps. I have no idea if this is why for you.
I also know that the latest MacOS has moved the Dropbox location for some users, which would break sync if using Dropbox folders.
If you are using Dropbox connection, try switching to Dropbox folders on the Mac.
Otherwise, provide more details. MacOS version? Dropbox folders or connection? Have you upgraded Mac recently?
Also provide your MD/Help/Console log file/output.

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi Stuart.
For what its worth as a test I reverted to 2017.10(1706) on one of my Windows computers and it still syncs with another Windows computer running 2022.3(4072). So it does not look like Dropbox has yet cut off the older version of the app used in 2017.10(1706) or at least the one used in Windows.
Have Fun Say Safe.

Is any of the support staff able to help me with my original query at the start of the discussion?

FYI - If you are using 2017 with Dropbox Connection and if you are seeing :
in Help/Show Console, then it's because Dropbox have cut off the connection for the old SKD/Protocol being used. There are two solutions:
1. Upgrade MD (best option)
2. Switch to Dropbox Folders in Mondeydance/File/Syncing.

An upgrade fixed it thanks. Thankfully the upgrade was really easy to do and when I opened the new version all of my transactions, reminders etc were there.
