iCloud - IOS Syncing
I'm sure you're probably tired of this question, but what is the plan for having the Mobile App able to Sync via iCloud instead of Dropbox? The discussions all point to "coming soon", but it's been a couple years now. It would be great to get some kind of definitive answer on the plan or some explanation of why this is so hard. I'm actually more curious than upset. It is intriguing that this is taking so long.
Dropbox is a Mac resource hog, so being able to get rid of it, is the motivating factor.

What you ask for is "in the plans", but bluntly, MD/IK is a small company and other higher priority issues (like downloading from as many banks as possible) has gotten "in the way" of what you are asking for. They are getting most of the effort at this time.

I'm afraid I can't provide any more details than what it sounds like you already know. This is planned, and we have been making progress on this issue, as I'm sure you've noticed that one can now sync via iCloud between desktop systems. In general we've learned not to promise arbitrary release dates for new features. That gets people even more upset when we don't meet those dates, or forces us to release features that need more work before they are ready. Either of those are far worse than knowing that something is generally in the works, although I hear you that that's still frustrating.

I just purchased Moneydance on the basis it synchs within iCloud not outside the apple system . Got it working fine across desktops & is great . I was however swayed to buy it by the Oct 2021 blog that iPhone app would be able to join this iCloud synch an ‘an update to be released shortly’. https://infinitekind.com/blog/moneydance-2022. I am surprised to find the iPhone app can’t be used at all if not using Dropbox . I just want a view at least from the iPhone. I think the phrase will be releasing shortly (7 months ago ) has already set an expectation, and without even an ability to see my account from iPhone /iPad - being desktop only - I’m not sure the product is yet ready for my money . As I’m in my 90 day guarantee still , do you have a timeframe to fulfill iPhone synch to iCloud ?
