MoneyDance allows you to choose a synching method in File>Synching>Synch
Method and clearly offers iCloud as an option.
Opening the app on iPhone or iPad always default to Dropbox screen.
Frustrating!

At this time the mobile platform requires Dropbox.

Hello,
The other posts are correct. iCloud is currently supported for syncing between desktop systems. We intend on adding it to the mobile app, but it is not supported at this time.

Hi Ethan,
I am paying for iCloud storage and would hate to pay for a Dropbox account
if iCloud for mobile is coming soon. Do you have an idea how long this fix
will take? Most people would like to update Moneydance on our phones or
ipads while away from home and we tend to only have one desktop.
Thanks.

Moneydance works effectively with the free Dropbox account, the three device limit for a free account is rarely a problem as the mobile device does not count towards this limit unless you install the Dropbox client which Moneydance on this platform will not use in any situation. On the desktop platform the Dropbox client and therefore the client license is only used if you make use of the Dropbox Folder option, like the mobile Dropbox connection does not make use of the Dropbox client and therefore does not require a license.
Thus it is possible with Moneydance to not require any Dropbox licenses at all.

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi Frank
You should not be thinking about getting a pay Dropbox account.
Just get a free basic Dropbox account.
The free Dropbox account is more than enough to sync my 4 computers and 2 phones and it does a great job.
Hope this helps.

I agree with the above posts that a free Dropbox account should be sufficient for most users, especially if you don't use it for anything else, and only use the Dropbox Connection option on the desktop systems.
I'm unfortunately unable to speculate on when any new feature will be released.
