<p>You are correct in saying that there’s no option to have the file be synced as ‘read only’. If it’s synced, you’ll be able to make changes to the file.</p>
<p>That being said, I've filed a ticket in our ticketing system with your suggestion, so the developers will be looking into it. Unfortunately I cannot guarantee this suggestion will be implemented. We will post to this <a href="https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/iphone-ipod-touch-ipad-android-app-questions/15882-read-only-sync">thread</a> when/if there are any updates regarding this topic.</p>

<p>Master User.... Creates TXN for FOOD £10.<br>
this syncs to secondary<br>
Secondary user updates their copy. Changes food to £20<br>
this does not sync back<br>
Master users decides to change Description to "Food Baked beans"..<br>
This syncs the whole record, including the old price of £10 over to secondary.<br>
Secondary user now sees "Food Baked beans" £10 and has lost their change to £20.</p>
