When is iCloud syncing for iOS coming?
I just read your article from October 2021 on the new features in Moneydance 2022 (https://infinitekind.com/blog/moneydance-2022) and was happy to read that it'd finally let me break from Dropbox syncing (I *really* hated having to move from wifi syncing to Dropbox). I happily upgraded to 2022, but when I went to switch sync on my iPhone, I found I only had the option for Dropbox sync. I thought I might be doing something wrong, but after checking the discussions here, realised it's just not been implemented yet on iOS.
You stated in the 2022 article about iCloud sync: "We’ll be releasing updates to the iPhone and iPad apps shortly." Since that article was from October 2021, I hadn't thought it necessary to check whether it had been implemented, and I'm disappointed to find it still isn't available.
I've been a customer since 2002 and upgrade every two to three years and it was time to upgrade anyway (why I had checked for the upgrade in the first place), so I'm not looking for a refund. But it's been over seven months since that article was written and, if it's not imminent, I ask that you update the article to mention the current date, that iCloud syncing for iPhone and iPad apps is still not available, why it's taking so long since 2022 was released, and an ETA for it. A post to with the same info on the board here would be good, too.
(nb - just a side note and feedback from a long-term customer - I appreciate you've introduced the Moneydance+ sub due to the ongoing costs for hosting the bank downloads service, but please don't ever switch Moneydance itself to a SaaS subscription model. SaaS has its place, but personal/home software like Moneydance is not one of them. Continue as you've been doing to make improvements and add new features that give us a reason to pay to upgrade, and we'll keep paying to upgrade!)

Syncing via iCloud is currently possible between desktop systems, but not yet for the mobile app. This is still high on our list of new features to implement. However, I'm unfortunately unable to speculate on when this will be released.
My understanding is that we have no intention on moving to a full subscription service, and the main way the program is sold will remain the same. We were even somewhat reluctant to use this model for the optional Moneydance+ service, but couldn't make it financially feasible to roll out this service without a subscription, since it is dependent on third-party providers that charge for each user.

I'm glad to hear it's still high on your list to implement, but that doesn't resolve the problem that you have a news page from October 2021 saying it would be added 'shortly'. And that's actually the most recent entry on the blog.
Given the number of posts in this forum asking about the status of iCloud sync for iOS, I think that article needs to be updated so it doesn't mislead customers.
Can a note be added to to the article or a new post added that states that as of May 2022 it's still not been implemented?
(Being told that iCloud sync works desktop-to-desktop--which seems to be the first thing people asking about the status of iCloud sync for iOS are told--borders on being tone-deaf. I don't care about desktop-to-desktop sync; I've never used it and I'd be really surprised if the people who did were in the majority of your syncing customers; I'd think the majority of your syncing customers use it to sync transactions they've added on-the-go via a smartphone and that few of them sync desktop-to-desktop. Perhaps an interesting poll to run to get a good feel for how your customers are using sync.)
On subscriptions, I didn't think you had the intention to move Moneydance core to a subscription model, but I thought it would be good to give this feedback all the same so you know where at least one customer stands on it. (I had never thought to give feedback on how important wifi sync was to me until I realised it was removed, and by then it was too late. I still hope you'll bring it back so I can stop using third-party clouds!)

Thanks for your feedback. I will forward it along. Unfortunately the support staff for these forums does not control what's posted on the blog or the software development. Personally I've advocated against making even vague promises of new features, because it leads to exactly these kinds of reactions. I am sorry we cannot give you any more detailed responses to this issue.
