How do I change syncing with Dropbox to iCloud?

   Hello,

   Syncing via iCloud is currently available for syncing between desktop systems, but not mobile devices. If you are syncing with a mobile device, Dropbox is currently the only option. We intend on adding iCloud support to the mobile app, but I cannot speculate on when this will be released.

   Hi Ethan
   Thank you so much for your response but I think I need to explain my question in more detail. The latest version of Moneydance is on my Macbook pro and 24inch Mac M1. At present my file is saved to dropbox. What do I need to do on the MoneyDance program to change that to iCloud? Do I need to do whatever it is on both? I look forward to your advice.

   Hi Chris,
   You need to ensure that:

   • all the computer you wish to sync your data file with, are running the same build and version of Moneydance - Moneydance 2022.4 (4085)
   • the data file you wish to sync is stored in the default location on the computer where you set up the process.

   Then you should navigate to File->Syncing and turn sync off everywhere by choosing Don't Sync.

   Close Moneydance!

   Launch Moneydance again and take a manual back up of the file you consider to be the most up-to date .

   On the primary computer navigate to File->Syncing and choose iCloud Drive

   • Set or take note of your existing "Passphrase".

   On the secondary computer

   Navigate to File->New->Open synced file.
   Or from the Welcome to Moneydance window, choose Create a new account set and select Open Synced File

   • Choose the same sync method as the primary computer - iCloud Drive

   • Enter the same Passphrase to match the primary computer
