Dropbox compatibility with macOS Monterey

I have been enjoying using Moneydance since the beginning of 2015 on a MacBook Pro. I have been syncing to other Apple devices, in recent years iPhone and iPad using Dropbox as you recommend.
On my MacBook I have continued with macOS Catalina 10.15.7 as I am sure I read that Dropbox was not compatible with more recent OS's and I have not wanted to risk syncing facility if I updated to macOS Monterey.
Can you advise what the current position is?

On a more minor matter, I maintain some investments accounts on Moneybox on my MacBook Pro, including shareholding transactions. I note these accounts are excluded from syncing to other transactions. Is this correct?

Syncing with Moneydance on Monterrey is fine (as long as you also upgrade MD to 2022). Versions prior to 2019 will not sync to Dropbox properly any more.

I don’t know what this means: ‘ On a more minor matter, I maintain some investments accounts on Moneybox on my MacBook Pro, including shareholding transactions. I note these accounts are excluded from syncing to other transactions. Is this correct?’

Unless you mean… Do Moneydance investment accounts/transactions sync? The answer is yes, they sync fine. HOWEVER, ios and mobile apps cannot see them. Only other desktops can see these.

Thank you for your very fast response. I am currently using Moneydance v.2022.3, so it looks that I can upgrade OS to Monterey and still sync via Dropbox. Thank you.

My second point re investment transactions, you interpreted correctly. I only sync to iPhone and iPad and do not see the investment accounts there. I note that I could see them on another desktop, if I was using one.

Again, thanks for your swift practical help.

The mobile app shows the following account types: Bank accounts, Credit Card accounts, Asset accounts and Liability accounts as outlined in this article of the Knowledge base.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
