infinite loop of attempts to sync via dropbox

hi there
I am trying to synch between my windows laptop and my iphone using moneydance. When attempting to connect i get the code and past into the dialogue box, when i hit enter it starts the process again. we have switched off the firewall to see if that was the issue but apparently not. we have tried from two different locations.
so far I am unable to synch. can you recommend a solution

   You don’t say on what device you are getting the loop?

   If the desktop. Install DB Client and try Dropbox folders instead.

   Thank you we were indeed using a windows desktop. The advice below helped, though we had to start by deleting the iOS app.
