Moving to another computer, when I already have 2 computers synching plus iPHone
Hi there
I've tried to work out the best option for my scenario from your various posts, but not sure that I've got it right yet. I have Moneydance on a laptop (initial installation) and on a Mac Mini (synched via Dropbox), and I also synch to an iPhone via Dropbox.
My laptop is about to be retired and I have purchased a new one. I am trying to work out whether I need to move the data files from the old laptop to the new one (and will the Dropbox synch still work with the Mac Mini and the iPhone?) or whether I should turn off Dropbox synch on the old laptop, and then synch the new laptop before deleting the old laptop files.
Is the Mac Mini copy a full and independent copy of the data (it seems to be, has it's own data files etc)? ie can I remove the original laptop copy of Moneydance without causing any trouble?
Or do I need to approach this differently. Your advice on how best to replace the computer that had the original moneydance files, before synching via Dropbox with another Mac and an iPhone, would be appreciated please.
