Hi Jon

When you sync using Dropbox Connection your synced data is in the form of a folder containing other folders and files, not a single file.

Look in your Dropbox account in the cloud and you should see a folder called “.moneydancesync”. This folder contains the synced data folder which has a long alphanumeric name. You could see more than one of these folders if you have synced more than one data set. In an alphanumeric folder you will see a text file mdsyncinfo.txt If you open this in a text editor you will see the name of the data set the alphanumeric folder relates too. this folder contains the encrypted folders used to sync the data set.
If you have Dropbox client installed on your computer the same folders and files will be synced back to your Dropbox folder on your hard drive.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/552438222022-08-09T13:42:02Z2022-08-09T13:42:02ZDropbox Sync

Thanks Derek, that’s what i needed to know.
