Automatic Transactions not syncing

I mainly run Moneydance on my desktop PC but also have it installed on a laptop and use the Dropbox Connection to sync. I have encountered a problem when syncing Moneydance on my laptop all the transactions sync OK apart from Automactic Transactions which are entered automatically from Reminders I have set. This has caused me to restore a back up of my last file.

Can anyone please help.

    Hi Simon

We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

Firstly, there's an option which allows you to enable or disable auto-committing of reminder transactions on specific computers, as outlined here. We added this option because when your data is synced automatically it's possible for the reminders to be auto-committed on multiple computers nearly simultaneously (or at least while one or all are offline), resulting in duplicates of the resulting transactions.

In the latest version, under the Network tab you can also enable the feature Auto-commit Reminders (applies to the current file on this computer), this preference is specific to the currently open data set.
It will not be visible unless the current file has syncing enabled. The reason for this option is to avoid possible duplicated transactions if an auto-committing transaction reminder is recorded on two different computers before the changes can be synced between them. By default this option is enabled on the computer that created the data set, and disabled on the rest. We recommend enabling this option only on the computer which is the most used and most often connected to the Internet.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
