Sync: (re)start fresh

I want to start fresh with syncing my Moneydance databased, and I am looking for instructions for "clearing out the gutters." Here's what I mean, with some back story:

I have two Macs and multiple iOS devices with Moneydance, and I have been using Dropbox Connection sync for many years. Recently, I wanted to check out iCloud sync; it didn't go well (right now, I am not sure if it's an issue with the software or if I've done something wrong... but that's not what my question is about), and I tried to revert back to Dropbox Connection, which is also not working quite right (again, a problem for another time).

What I would like to do is to start fresh. I.e., I want to stop all syncing; remove all database files from all devices other than my main computer, as well as everything and anything currently sitting on the cloud services -- Dropbox and iCloud -- as a result of my unsuccessful sync experiments. Once that's done, I'll re-enable syncing from scratch, starting by "populating" the cloud service I decide on with the accounts and transactions info from my main machine.

So, here's my question: I want to truly start the syncing from scratch. I.e., make sure there are no Moneydance-related files sitting anywhere on iCloud or Dropbox. Where do I find them, and how do I ensure they are removed?

Thanks!

    Backup first.

Install / run latest toolbox extension.

On all non master datatsets (ie your sync copies). File / new. Create a new dummy dataset. Close MD

On all iOS devices. Click the settings cog and disconnect. Kill app.

    On master dataset
    1. Set sync to iCloud.
Run toolbox. Open MD folder. Open sync folder. REMEMBER THIS LOCATION.

    1. Restart md. Set sync to Dropbox.
Run toolbox. Open md folder. Open sync folder. REMEMBER THIS LOCATION.

    2. Restart MD

    3. Toolbox. Enable advanced mode. Advanced tools. Select
‘Force reset Sync settings (This resets all Sync settings, changes your Sync ID, and turns Sync off. You can then re-enable it for a fresh Sync)’

Restart MD. Your sync has now been disconnected and sync relationships killed.

Now open the folders from points 1 and 2. There will be folders with looooooooong numbers. Delete these folders. Or rename them to something else for now and delete later.

Now on master enable sync. Wait. Restart MD.

Now on other computers, MD file/new/open sync folder. Select the dataset you just sync’d. There should only be one. Repeat for others.

iOS. Cog. Connect. Again there should only be one.

Now check those folders again. There should just be one new loooong number sub folder (the is the new sync)

Lastly. Go back to the other NON master sync copy computers, launch finder, delete the old datasets. The date/time will be older than the dataset you just created by doing file/new / open sync copy.
