Now they are synching to different files in dropbox. The names of the files are listed in the MD Toolbox as the UUID. How can I reassign the UUID of the MD with the secondary file to use the same UUID as the primary file on the other computer.

Philiptag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/565112822022-10-27T06:15:38Z2022-10-27T06:15:38Zhow to change sunc uuid

That sounds like a very bad idea. Did you do a restore backup on one of them?

I would suggest you simply reset up sync on the secondary. File/new/open sync dataset and make sure you select the sync ID of the master / other dataset.

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/565112822022-10-27T17:58:01Z2022-10-27T17:58:01Zhow to change sunc uuid

Thank you - that did it, mostly.

The process synchronized the computers.

There was one other step I needed to do, though, and that was to export the
transactions on the secondary computers with a date range starting when the
synching started failing, and then import the QIF file into the primary MD
file. There were some duplicates created in the primary file although they
were easy to identify and delete.
