Moneydance version: 2022.6
Mac: latest Ventura
iPhone on latest iOS 16
Latest Moneydance iOS app
Syncing via iCloud

I have followed the directions here: https://infinitekind.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/200734417-Syncing-Moneydance-with-your-Mobile-Device
The app finds a file with the correct name but there are no transactions after 12/1/22. It's as though it is syncing to an old backup. There are no data files in /Users/<my username>/Library/Containers/Moneydance/Data/Documents so it's as though an old one is stuck in iCloud. How can I fix this?

Toolbox. Open md folder button on top toolbar. Open sync folder.

Are both devices logged on to the same Apple ID?

Try toolbox. Advanced. Force push/sync data. Wait 10 mins. Restart all md devices.

Hi Stuart, I appreciate your quick response. Unfortunately I'm seeing the same behavior.

    Have you tried my suggestion?
    What happens?
    Upload help/console.

Sorry for not being clear. Both devices are logged into the same account. I tried your suggestion and after waiting, had the same result in the iOS app: data that ends at 12/1/22.
Attached is the console output from starting the push and waiting 10 minutes:

    This 'might' be an issue:
Dataset old migrated UUID: f6832afb-7dfb-4db0-afa5-5901061f7ab3 (This means your sync setup is quite old)

But also, might be a red herring......

I cannot see any errors in console...

If I were you, I would be doing this..
    - Always backup first!!!

    • On all IOS / mobile apps, click the cog/settings icon and then DISCONNECT (from sync).

    • Then close/Exit all MD APPs on all IOS devices

    • Then on Mac use toolbox, top right, open MD folder, open sync folder... KEEP THIS FINDER WINDOW OPEN. This will show your iCloud sync folder. You will see sync folder and then in that one or more looooong folder names (e.g. 'dca92aee-730e-43gc-be5c-39a70f7ac6e1' etc)

    • Switch back into core moneydance, File/Syncing, change sync method to don't sync. Restart MD

    • Launch toolbox. advanced menu. use option force reset sync settings.

    • Switch to finder... Delete all the looooong number folders within the MD iCloud / sync folder...

    • Switch back to MD app. Enable syncing, iCloud, wait 5 mins.. restart MD... Then launch mobile app, config it...

    🤞

Thank you again for pitching in to help with this. The sync folder shows no folders with UUID names, rather it shows nested or looped 'Sync' folders (Sync --> Sync --> Sync etc with no actual folder names)

Ok. I would skip the step that’s says
“ Delete all the looooong number folders within the MD iCloud / sync folder...” but do everything else.

Ps. I think if you change the finder view to list details view the problem with reoccurring names will go away.
