error importing moneydance backup from one mac mini to macbook air

I am trying to import a backup from my main mac mini to mac book air. I have upgraded both versions to the latest version of MD.
There is an error when I try to export the backup to the macbook air and file will not open.

1. Enabling Automatic Backups

   Moneydance backups are essentially 'saves' of your entire data set, at the time the backup file was created or modified.

   Moneydance backup files use the .moneydancearchive file extension.

   You can configure your automatic backup settings within Preferences > Backups.

   Within your preferences, you can choose the location for the backups to be saved, and also the number of backups to be stored.
