New Computer, new Ipad
I got a new computer and did manage to transfer my Moneydance data to the new computer. Additionally, I had an old synced file on the Ipad, and it all transferred when the new Ipad took over. But now I find that the file on the ipad is not the same as the one on the computer.
I did notice that the backup file name changed when I installed Moneydance on the new computer. That was AFTER I got a new Ipad, so I have to assume that's the problem. But I set up a new syncing account 2 days ago thru Dropbox for when the computer and the Ipad aren't on the same wifi. Do I have to delete the entire Moneydance file and reinstall it?

I'm a fellow user.
It is not clear to me the process you used to move to the new computer.
The basic instructions are in the Knowledge Base article:

Assuming you are migrating to the new computers and will not be using the old any more, what you are basically doing is disabling syncing (turning it off), moving the data file(s) to the new computer then setting up syncing from scratch to the new iPad.
If you are keeping the old computer you can use a different process that just adds the new systems in.
There are other approaches that can be used but I would suggest they are for the more experienced computer and Moneydance users.

Thank you. I have the file transferred over and also on the ipad and I think I've got it syncing. I wasn't sure either on how the file was transferred as I asked my son in law to help me. He did it ok, but it wouldn't sync. So, I reinstalled everything again and it seems to be working again. Cindy Henkel
