When I open and sync the file on the app I can see the accounts and transactions in the accounts but it does not show the amount for the transaction or account balances

    Hello,

Can you attach a screenshot of what you are seeing? If you're not sure how to take a screenshot, please see http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/

    Hello Gary,

How strange. I notice in the left column for your accounts it appears to say currency error instead of the account balance. On your desktop system, could you please find your errlog.txt file and attach it to your reply? This should give more information about whatever is happening with your data file.

If you're using Mac OS X, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt

    or:

    ~/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt

If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder, open Finder, select Go -> Go to Folder -> from the menu bar, and copy and paste in:

    ~/Library

This should pull up your local Library folder.

If you're using Windows, it should be located at:

    C:/Users/(yourusername)/.moneydance/errlog.txt

If you're using Linux, it should be located at:

    /home/(yourusername)/.moneydance/errlog.txt
