1/6/25 Going from Desktop to IPad Pro M4 or M2

I have a MacBook Pro which is showing signs of age. Thinking about downgrading to apple iPad Pro M4 or iPad Air M2 as my “computer”.
I need to know if I download “app” for iPad (either one) what are the differences from “desktop” and more importantly will it work. Basically I use Moneydance and my photography for this new set up.

Moneydance does not have a full app on iPad / iPhone - so unless you only want a basic register to enter receipts, it won't be what you want...

In other words Moneydance requires a backend system running macOS, Windows or Linux.
