Hi Jeff,
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
Can you navigate to the desktop version and navigate to File->Syncing->Don't Sync?
Close Moneydance on your computer.
On your Android phone select and hold the Moneydance mobile app icon and uninstall the app.
If you are a Beta Tester, leave the program (for now) by navigating to this page on your phone and click on "Beta Sign up**.
Then navigate to Play Store on your phone and re-install the Moneydance mobile app.
Finally, set up sync anew!
- Launch Moneydance again on your computer and open the file you wish to sync. - Navigate to File->Syncing and choose Dropbox Folder.
With "Dropbox Folder" you need to have Dropbox installed and running on your computer, but you don't need to be online in order for Moneydance to read and write the changes.
Launch the mobile app and choose the same file as your computer.
Enter your Password to match the Passphrase on your computer.
Finally, enter a "dummy"" transaction on each device and allow a few seconds for them to sync. They should display exactly the same transactions.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

I have completed these steps. Synchronization works fine (before and after these steps). Synchronization was not the problem. The problem is the Android app crashes when attempting to set a security pin code for the app. The problem remains after following these steps (with the new 2025 app update). I left the Android app beta, removed the 2025 version, reinstalled the previous non-beta version and it works fine. A pin code can be set. There appears to be a problem with the pin code function of the 2025 beta app.
