Surfshark on OSX prevents syncing

Hi all,

Using iCloud sync:

Wondering if anyone has any settings to work with Surfshark VPN. Syncing is hit and miss, and I have not found solutions. Turning VPN off in OSX has immediately caused background sync to succeed, yet at the moment that method is not working. Surfshark iOS now has a bypass feature, I wonder, what is the credential I would place to add a bypass for MD?

   I suspect it’s nothing to do with MD and your VPN is blocking iCloud sync at the system level. You need to prove that iCloud desktop sync is working outside of MD first?

   Thanks, that may be the case, but I came sync calendars, notes, icloud files, etc. would that indicate a different issue?
