Please notify immediately when the new app is out that will sync!!!
I've used Moneydance now for a while after switching from QE. The iPhone app worked most of the time and it has been pretty good software, once I got the hang of it.
But now since I upgraded to iOS 5, it completely doesn't sync (even though I upgraded the Network addon on my iMac). This is just about a dealbreaker for me.
Please - do you have any possible date for an update to the app or anything that will help it to sync????

Hi All,
Attached is a pre-beta version of the syncing extension. It has the Dropbox parts disabled (since you need an updated appp for that), but includes some of the improvements to wifi syncing. If you're willing, can you install it and see if it resolves your syncing issues?
You can install this version of the extension by selecting the Extensions->Manage Extensions menu and then using the "Choose file" button to select the attached netsync.mxt file.

The downloaded file is a zip file containing 3 folders but no netsync.mxt after extraction. Would you investigate?

You shouldn't extract the file. It's is the netsync.mxt extension file itself. Just install that file using the extension manager.

Downloading with IE9 was a zip file and with Chrome was the mxt file. After installation I still got network synchronizer v14 while the downloaded mxt file said it is v15. Anyway I still cannot see my iphone.

Still does not work in Lion!! Works normally in Snow Leopard as before. Sadly Moneydance is the only reason I have not yet upgraded my laptop to Lion. :(

Sorry to hear that it is not fixed yet. As we said, it is pre-beta, so there are still kinks to work out. Tomas, would you mind going to Help->Console and sending in any error messages that come up when you try and connect? Angler, sorry it is a bit confusing, most likely you have the correct version though. Do you mind also sending in your console data?

Hi Tomas,
Is there anything different about the firewall settings on the two computers? It seems like your Lion computer might be blocking the Moneydance sync. Can you check your settings to make sure they are the same?

Unfortunately, in the current release we've reached the limits of what we can address with fixes for wireless syncs, however the imminent release of the sync with dropbox integration should do it. We'll let you know when its out (which will be very soon).

This has been imminently releasing it feels like for the last three months. Can you guys give us any more information than just repeating "any day now"??

We are currently in a closed beta test of the app, and the release timeline at this point depends on what we discover during this testing and diagnosis. Our beta slots are all full at this point- there are strict limitations as to how many devices a testing app can be installed on. I have personally successfully sync'd via Dropbox on my iPhone using the new app, and we're all burning the midnight oil to put this to bed. We'll then need to submit the app update to Apple, and their approval timeline will progress from there.
I know you've all been waiting for a long time, and frankly I think we're all just as eager as our users to have the syncing issues resolved. As soon as the updated app is available we will post on this thread, our Facebook and Twitter accounts, and our blog.
I do sincerely apologize that this has taken so long, and I'm eagerly awaiting the day I can offer you news of the release.

Unfortunately I can't quiet say. The beta is fully functional for a number of testers but there are still a few problems to be ironed out. (It doesn't work for everyone yet). As soon as we get that taken care of and go through the App Store approval process we will be releasing it.

Hi all,
On June 7 we submitted the iOS app to Apple to approval, so we'll definitely post on our blog, Twitter, and Facebook as soon as it's available. We're not sure how long the approval queue is (Apple is a bit opaque about it) but we're hoping soon! We'll also post on this thread when the app is available.

Whilst waiting for the release of this, I have downloaded the Network Sync Ext and loaded DropBox on my Iphone.
I have used Dropboc with Handybank on Android.
Is it possible for MoneyDance with drop box to work and sync to more than one Iphone ??

The whole point about Dropbox is that it will sync with any number of devices. I currently have my moneydance files in Dropbox which means all my Macs have moneydance fully syncd. Looking forward to adding two iPhones and an iPad to the party .

Some bad news: Apple did not approve our latest update to the iPhone/iPad/iPod Moneydance app. This was due to the Dropbox authorisation page linking to an external signup form.
The good news: we've re-submitted the app using a newer version of the Dropbox SDK that resolves the issue while also making the Dropbox authorisation a bit easier. This submission also fixes a few small bugs that were discovered in the past week.
We're all very sorry for the additional delay in getting the app update. I expect it will be another 5 working days which is Apple's current advertised time to review app updates.

Just one question/request....
I have three moneydance files on my computer, one for business accounts, one for personal accounts and one for my parents accounts. I set Dropbox syncing up while launched in the personal accounts on my computer and that is what opens on my iPhone. How can I see ad sync all three files?
