receipt capture
A great feature would be to take a photo of a receipt and attach
it to the transaction I enter on my iPhone.
Then when I sync to the Mac I have the transaction and a copy o the
receipt on my Mac.
While I am at it, how about the ability to export that transaction
to Neat Receipts application (http://store.neat.com/index/page/product/product_id/104/product_nam...
)
thanks
Bill

I, for one, do not want the Moneydance software to become bloatware. That is exactly what would happen if the Developer of Moneydance were to add additional code into Moneydance in order to export transactions into the $199 NeatReceipts software. Furthermore, not everybody that uses Moneydance uses the $199 NeatReceipts program. NeatReceipts is cost prohibitive, at $199, for most users of Moneydance.
NeatReceipts for Mac is incompatible with Moneydance in that NeatReceipts requires a Mac computer with an Intel® processor. Moneydance for Mac is Universal in that it can be used on Mac OSX Intel or PPC versions, and there are a lot of Mac OSX PPC users still out here.

Nothing suggested here would actually require NeatReceipts (now named NeatWorks.) the suggestion was merely to add the ability to attach a photograph of a receipt to a given transaction. James then explained how he could leverage such a feature by exporting the picture to NeatWorks.
I do something different to achieve the end result that James alludes to. Instead of entering transactions in Moneydance on my iPhone I take a picture of the receipt using the JotNot Pro app. Later I export all my receipts from JotNot, import them into NeatWorks, perform OCR, etc., then export the receipts as QIF and import those QIF files in Moneydance.

Thanks for the ideas. I can live without the export capability to NeatWorks but I thought that a jpeg of the receipt linked to the transaction would help in the matching process. Nothing like a receipt to help you remember what you spent your money on.
I'll try the method you suggest.
thanks
