iPhone app syncing, how to, again
Can you provide more detailed instruction for syncing? I followed directions in the app, added netsync, configured, my iPhone showed up and I added it. Now what? I close the window and nothing happens. The app only opens to the instruction window with the incredibly long key string. The Extensions menu just show Configure Network Syncing.
I removed my device to start over just to see now it says No devices running Moneydance were found.
What am I missing? Thanks.

Same problem. Added ext. then device. Entered the key.
Then nothing happens on the iphone. tried resetting desktop app and iphone app but the syncing instructions keep coming up on the iphone...
Also tried entering the key with and with out spaces. Neither helped.
Does that matter???
Thanks

You are not alone... I have the same problem

I was able to get Moneydance to recognize my iPhone again, but still have the same problem. The app never goes past the instruction screen. Both Moneydance desktop and iPhone app are open on the same network.

I GOT IT. Because my iPhone had a space in the name, I uninstalled the app from my iPhone, changed the name to a single string, and reinstalled the iPhone app. Then I typed the code into the Network Sync Config (left to right, top to bottom, including spaces). Then everything sync'd fine. The only thing I don't see are balances on loans that normally show up on the HOME screen in MoneyDance 2010 Mac desktop program.

I don't have any spaces in my iPhone name.

Also, every time I launch Moneydance, it asks me if I want to allow incoming network connections (I allow). The setting doesn't seem to stick.

Try updating MD to version 748. That worked for me.

Indeed, version 748 syncs fine.

Updating to build 748 worked for me as well. But I should I trust the beta with my financial information?

Earlier in the day the app would only work with build 748 (the latest preview build) of Moneydance, but this issue has now been resolved. Would you please try again and let me know how it goes? I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Build 748 is stable enough for daily use, and will in fact become the next stable release in the next few days. I personally always use the latest beta version for my personal financial info and have never had a problem.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,
