Moneydance has stopped synching
3 days ago, moneydance stopped synching with my app on y android phone. I have followed previous steps taken to fix, such a deleting the drop box data, clearing cache and data on my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling on the phone but it now cannot find the files on dropbox at all. When opening moneydance on the phone it says "Choose a dataset" but no files are listed. If has a greyed out message saying Moneydance found the files below synced to your Dropbox account. Please select the file you'd like to sync on this device", but no files are listed.

Hi Paul,
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
Unfortunately, this is a known issue with the 2022 version of the Android mobile app. Other users have reported that the Beta version, combined with the Dropbox Connection sync method, works reliably.
You’re welcome to try this approach, or you can wait for the upcoming public release, which is expected soon.
First, press and hold the Moneydance mobile icon to uninstall v.2022 then you can join the beta program to install version 2025 of the Android mobile app.
You can download it from the bottom-right corner of this page, or directly through Google Play.
To join the Google Play Services beta, sign up either in a web browser or on your device. Once you’ve enrolled, the beta version will automatically download to any device using the same Google account. After restarting your device, the beta will be active.
To enable automatic updates:
Open Google Play
Tap the three‑line menu in the top-left
Go to Settings
Select Auto‑update apps

I've had real problem with the android app so I un installed and now google playstore is saying thatthe app isn't available because it was made for an older version of android.... I'm on a galaxy S21.

You might need to restart your device first.
That being said unfortunately, the current Beta doesn’t fully resolve the issue.

I have exactly the same problem and am now not able to do anything with the app on my mobile as it says it can't find any Dropbox file. Never had a problem before and been using it for years. On my Samsung Galaxy tab it hasn't synced since December.

I have now managed to sync from my computer to mobile and tablet using the beta version. On the app it now shows all my discontinu3d accounts which it didn't before. They are hidden in the main programme but can't alter it in the app.

Same here. Stopped syncing Jan 27. Tried above suggestions and same error msg from play store.... older version not supported. Samsung S24+..

I am running 20260205. Installed on the 5th Fed.
I am signed in as a tester on the Alpha page at https://infinitekind.com/prepreview
Don’t think its available on the beta page.
There are still issues with biometrics/pin but syncing works if wait for the date to update on the main screen before closing the app.
I have been testing the app for Sean the moneydance developer and he is aware of the remaining issue and in discussion he hope to fix these soon.

My iPad still syncs OK. Just bummed not on phone. Much more inconvenient to
carry iPad around to enter transactions... :slightly_smiling: Hope issue gets fixed

Moneydance developer Sean is working on an Android solution. As an Alpha tester currently testing build 20260205 syncing works unless you close the app almost immediately after entering a transaction. The main issue is related to biometric/pin app opening. Hopefully Sean will sort this soon and after more Alpha testing will release a new build for others to install.

Hi. I have the same sync issue, and have been trying the new mobile app. However, Whilst does now sync again, it's not correct - balance on the mobile is not the same as the desktop. Any suggestions?

Thanks again for the suggestions and updates. Hopefully, the Amazing
Moneydance Staff will get to the bottom of this issue as soon as they
can..... In the meantime, for my situation, I have found a free check
register no sign up required app, that's easy to use so that, for now, I
can enter my finances on my phone, and then once a week, simply go over it
on my notebook and add it to money dance. (Keeps up with my math skills..)
A good thing about this app is I can edit payee's if I make a spelling
error so it doesn't save extra payee names to memory, something I am
hopefull Moneydance might do to add an "edit payee " module in the future.
(Like the Edit/Add/Delete Global Category Module) Cheers To All.!!
