Installing ap on iPhone 3Gs
I've seen this discussion many times on this forum, but after taking all the steps I'm reading about, I still can't get Moneydance to recognize the ap on my iPhone.
First of all, the specs... on my Mac I'm running Moneydance 2011v2 with the network extension installed. Mac OS is Snow Leopard (waiting to upgrade to Lion until I am positive I have all my old software working). IPhone is 3GS with IOS 5.0 installed.
I run the iphone Moneydance ap and Moneydance at the same time and have confirmed they are on the same wireless network. Moneydance sees the iphone and asks for the access code. I enter it with no spaces. After 30-60 seconds, Moneycomes back with an error message that it is unable to sync and that I should verify the access code. I verify and re-enter access code with the same problem.
Then I delete the iPhone ap and reinstall it, thus generating a different access code. I try again. Same error. I re-enter the access code, in case I made a mistake, again with no spaces. Same error.
I don't know what else to try.

Does the name of your iPhone contain any special characters such as apostrophes or spaces? If it does please use iTunes to rename the device to remove the special characters.

Hi Ben,
No there are no special characters. It was simply named "iPhone" and I also confirmed that there were no spaces at the end.
