Can't Sync to Android

I've been using this program for years and love it. Last week I was having trouble syncing to my android phone. While trying to fix it, I removed the .moneydance file from my phone app and then my computer died. I just got a new computer, reinstalled moneydance and was able to access my most recent .moneydance file. The problem I have is that I can't access Dropbox through the phone app. I've reinstalled it twice. See attached screenshot.

i just need to know how to get the app fixed. When I open it, I should have the dropbox and cloud options to choose from and i don't

I am experiencing the same problem. Sync stopped working around January 26, 2026. After trying to reset sync, the app opens with the same screen saying "No folders found"

    Not an isolated issue.

Everyone seems to be having the same problem. MD is so far being vague about when it will be fixed.

    Hi,
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

Unfortunately, version 2022 is no longer functional. As a temporary solution, you can install version 2026 (build 20260205) of the Android app. This is a BETA version.

First, press and hold the Moneydance mobile icon to uninstall v.2022, then restart your phone.

After that, join the beta program so you can install version 2026 of the Android app.
You can download it from the bottom‑right corner of the preview page or directly through Google Play.

To join the Google Play Services beta:
You can sign up either in a web browser or directly on your device. Once you’re enrolled, the beta version will automatically download to any device using the same Google account. After restarting your device, the beta will be active.

    To enable automatic updates:

    Open Google Play

Tap the menu in the top‑left

    Go to Settings

    Select Auto‑update apps

Please keep us posted on your progress, Thank you!

    Dear Maddy
I joined the beta moments ago on Google Play and updated the app. I got the build 20260130. How do I get the build 20260205 you mentioned?

You may need to manually prompt Google Play to retrieve the latest Moneydance beta update. Please follow these steps:

    • Confirm beta enrollment

    • Open Google Play and search for Moneydance.

    • Scroll down on the app page.

If you see “You’re a beta tester”, you are enrolled.

If you do not see this message, please tap to join the beta and wait for it to complete.

    • You could also "Clear the Google Play Store cache"

    • Open your device Settings.

    • Go to Apps → Google Play Store → Storage.

    • Tap Clear cache.

Reopen Google Play, go back to the Moneydance page, and check if an update is available.

    • Leave and rejoin the beta program

On the Moneydance page in Google Play, leave the beta program.

    Wait for about 1–2 minutes.

    Join the beta program again.

    Reopen Google Play.
This will force the Play Store to refresh your beta track assignment and may surface the latest beta update.

Please keep us posted on your progress, Thank you!

That does seem to fix the sync problem. However, the Beta version does have it's own issues.
I can't activate security. The finger print reader comes up but if you tap above it you go straight into the app with no security. I tried to activate PIN Lock in settings, but as soon as you exit settings it turns off again.
The controls at the top of the screen for things like back and save and settings, are in accessible because they appear below the battery level, signal strength and notification indicators. You can get around this by switching to landscape mode, but the app doesn't work well in landscape mode.

    Hi Stephen

I am running 20260205. Installed on the 5th Fed.

I am signed in as a tester on the Alpha page at https://infinitekind.com/prepreview
Don’t think its available on the beta page.

There are still issues with biometrics/pin but syncing works if wait for the date to update on the main screen before closing the app.

I have been testing the app for Sean the Moneydance developer and he is aware of the remaining issue and in discussion he hope to fix these soon.

    Have Fun, Stay Safe.
