Hello.
Since you are actively working on the Android app to fix the syncing issues, can you please fix the bug about the closed categories, too?
Even in the latest 2026 beta, the categories closed in Moneydance desktop, still shows in the Android app.
Thank you.

    Hi Andrea,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

I’ve just tested hiding an account in this environment, and it’s working as expected:

    Desktop:
    Moneydance 2024.4 (5253)
    Windows 11

    Mobile:
    Moneydance 2026 (build 20260130)
    Android 16

In order to determine what might be causing the problem at your end, please can you confirm which version and operating system you are running on your devices, please?

Can you try hiding the account/s in question in the desktop version again, perhaps?

Please navigate to Tools->Accounts and click the account you wish to edit, mark it as “Inactive”, click 'OK' and restart Moneydance to retain the change.
This will prevent it from being shown in drop-down lists in account registers and it won't be synced with your mobile devices.

Restart your phone to check if the change was synced.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

    Hi Maddy!
The accounts works as expected. The issue arises with the categories.
In the desktop app: Tools > Categories > Edit category > Check "closed". In
the desktop app, you will not see this category anymore, when you add a
transaction. It still shows up in the Android app when adding a new
    transaction.
I use the app in italian, my translation to english can be wrong.

Sorry you’ve been dealing with these issues, Andrea.
I’ve looked into this further, and the development team is already working on a fix. The ability to hide categories will be supported on the Android app as well.
