iPad Full Version

I need a fully-featured version of Moneydance on the iPad and would gladly pay the same price as I paid for the desktop version.

At this point, I use my desktop computer once or twice a month for just the following activities:

  1. Use Moneydance to pay all of my on-line bills, balance accounts, etc.
  2. Use a 12-year old version of Quickbooks to do all of my business accounting (invoices, etc.).

And once a year to run TurboTax for filing my income taxes, although this year I plan to use the online version.

I have been considering switching my business accounting over to EasyBooks on the iPad, which would leave me with just Moneydance as the only reason for running my desktop computer. I can't be the only one making this move, so here is my vote for a full-featured version of MoneyDance for iPad. I would gladly pay $50 for this. I notice that there was already one person with this request, but comments were closed. Don't you want to find out how many of your customers want this product?

    Moneydance,

Huh, I wasn't aware that the case attached to the iPad full program request was closed. I've re-opened the thread discussing that request. As Ben said then, "making a full version of the software for the iPad would require a complete rewrite as Apple do not allow java applications on the iPad. We will add more functionality to the iPad software at some point and I think it is highly unlikely that we will release a standalone iPad application that is functionally equivalent to the full version in the near future."

Thanks for your input, and please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

That's really disappointing - I'm among the legions planning to make the switch to using only an iPad (my current laptop is on life support) and MoneyDance is the only thing that I won't be able to use. I understand that it sounds like a lot of work, but like Brian, I would gladly pay the same price as regular software. My guess is that you'll loose a lot of fans/customers like me without providing a solution.
