IPAD WILL NOT SYNC WITH MACBOOK
I have tried private networking and MacBook does not see the IPad. Firewall is off. I have not been able to sync one time with MD. Can someone please give me help or lead me in another direction. This is going on for about a week now.

We have knowledge base article that contains some steps to resolve this issue. It's located at: http://help.infinitekind.com/kb/iphone-app/the-network-sync-extensi...
Are you able to connect after going through that article?

Hi Jessica,
I've gone all through that list before and it hasn't worked. My firewall is off and has been. I haven't figured out how to command prompt to ifconfig, but I have confirmed the addresses were the same. I have now put in a message to my wifi provider to see if there's anything that could be blocking me.
It seems to me that this should be able to be worked out. MacBook Pro to IPad, both are new within the past three months.

Jessica
Question - I've been wondering if this could be an issue. Money dance on my Mac is not in my apps folder; it is in documents. I can't figure out how to get in the apps folder. Am I missing something?

Hi Sharon,
The folder that your application is in shouldn't matter on a Mac, though is is a good idea to have it in your Applications folder if possible. I've attached a new version of the Netsync extension that might resolve your syncing issue. You can install it using the Extension Manager's "Add From File" button. Can you install this update and let me know if you are able to sync then?

Hi Jessica,
Well I downloaded it (v.15) and it changed the screen, but still did not find the IPad. I tried this with wifi and then also with a private network (computer to computer). Nothing worked. I did drag the app into the app folder.
I really hope that someone can come up with an answer soon.
Thanks again,
Sachsdmsr

Hi Jessica,
I downloaded (v.15) and the screen was different that searched for the IPad, but it still didn't locate it. I tried this while both were on wifi and then also a private network (computer to computer). I have also dragged the application into the application folder. I really hope you all can resolve this dilemma for me soon.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Jessica,
I just was rechecking and discovered that the extensions in the folder still say v14, but the download is v15. Why didn't it change?

HI Sachsdmsr,
I'm sorry for my delayed response. We have a new version of the App that fixes a number of syncing issues and adds support for Dropbox syncing. It is currently being reviewed by Apple and should be released for download today (hopefully). We'll let you know when it's out. Upgrading that and your Net Sync extension should resolve the issue.
