Moneydance does not sync all entries to ipad for asset account
I recently noticed that all my entries in MoneyDance on my MAC do not appear in the iPad App. They seem to go away if they are more than a year old. I would like ALL entries to be available. Is there a setting I am missing? When I manually entered them in the iPad App they synced backed to the MAC, duplicating previous entries and disappeared from the iPad, leaving only the two most recent (within 12 months) entries. Please let me know how I can sync ALL data for asset accounts.

Diveboss,
Currently it's only possible to sync up to 365 days of transactions to the app- this is largely to avoid performance and speed issues, as the app is primarily designed for transaction entry on the go. However, I can definitely see why it would be very useful to sync more than that range of data, and I have created a ticket for this issue. The ticket is attached to this discussion. This range be expanded with an option feature. That way older data could be reviewed and if the application runs too slow, users could have the option of showing a selected date range for everyday use and expand that range to view older data when needed.
Asset accounts that like mine get a single line entry annually when I enter a depreciation amount. (IE. my automobiles are assets that depreciate) I usually use the blue to update there estimated values annually. This means about 12 entries in 12 years. I do hope this can be an added feature. You guys are past due for a major release. I'd gladly pay for an update if a lot of the issues of tracking all data for all accounts / account types were addresses.
Thanks for excellent apps for the iPad and MAC.

I hope it's all right to resurrect this discussion after three months' dormancy.
I've just installed Moneydance on my iPad and sync'ed with my desktop (which is a Mac) via WiFi. I initially left the sync setting at the default (60 days, I believe). I wanted to enter a new transaction in an Investment account but discovered that the account hadn't synced. It's not a particularly active account and had not had any transactions within 60 days.
I reset the desktop sync to 365 days, deleted Moneydance from the iPad and reinstalled it and resynced, but the account still wasn't there. Now I realise that none of the Investment accounts has appeared on the iPad.
Is this behaviour expected? I can understand why it would be, and I can deal with it, but I hadn't seen any warning that investment accounts would not be sync'ed.
Thanks in advance for your advice & help.

This behaviour is expected. Moneydance does not sync the investment accounts to the mobile device.
The primary intention of the mobile device is to enter transactions while away from home. It is not intended to be a replacement for the desktop app. Given the complexity of the investment accounts and their transactions for now at least they are only supported by the main desktop app.
