I last sync'd my iPhone on Sat. June 30 at 10:20 AM and my iPad on Sat June 30 at 10:46 AM.

Today I entered a transaction on my iPhone and it immediately showed that it was syncing. However, when completed it still showed a last sync date of Sat June 30 at 10:20 AM. I then checked the iPad. The new transaction was there but the last sync date was still Sat June 30 at 10:46 AM. Lastly, I checked Moneydance on my desktop (iMac). The new truncation was there as well so everything is syncing OK.

I then re-opened the iPhone app and after syncing, it showed the last sync was Mon July 2 at 10:59 AM. Same thing for the iPad. In other words, once the desktop version is updated, the last sync date/time is updated but not before. To me this means that the sync time is somehow linked to the actions of the desktop extension rather than to any changes in the invisible file in Dropbox that is for syncing.

Am I correct on this and if so, wouldn't it be better to have the sync time shown reflect when the invisible Dropbox file is last modified?

    Hi Don,

That does appear to be a bug. I have filed a ticket with our ticketing system to try and get it fixed, which is attached to this discussion on the right.

Thanks for helping to improve Moneydance and please let us know if we can be of further assistance!
