Not syncing 365 days
Installed the iPhone app, installed the extension in MoneyDance set to sync 365 days. Connected to iTunes It synced.
My accounts in the iPhone are not going back 365 days as I set
in Network Sync Settings. One went back to April 8, 2010, two stop
at April 11, 2010, another stops at March 31, 2010. another stops
at April 1, 2010.
It was hope sync over to the iPhone all my data. Now I not getting any of the time frame that is set to (tried each number), it is random.
PPC Mac 10.5.8, iPhone 3Gs
TIA, awaiting your reply.

RicD

Hi Rich
I just test the latest version of the iphone app with the latest version of the extension for Moneydance and it correctly synced the last 365 days. The IPhone app does not use iTunes to sync its data it is handled independently of iTunes. The iPhone app will sync with the desktop app each time you start the iPhone app if it is connected to the same local network as the desktop and the desktop app is running.
Please make sure you are running the latest versions and let me know is that resolves the issue. That is version 1.1 of the iPhone app and version 9 of the extension.
Sincerely
Ben Spencer

Hi Ben,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
After reading that I do not need to sync through iTunes here is what I
did.
Connected the iPhone directly to the Mac, OS 10.5.8, that holds
MoneyDance data file. The iPhone beeped, it is recognized.
iTunes is off
Launched
MoneyDance version 2010r2-750
Launch MoneyDance on the iPhone, OS 3.1.3
Network Synchronizer is version 9
Nothing syncs.
I go into MoneyDance, click Network Synchronizer see my iPhone.
From there remove the iPhone
Attempt to again add it, it reads: No devices running Moneydance were
found.
Closed both apps, then relaunched MoneyDance and iPhone MoneyDance
Back into Extensions it again says No devices running Moneydance were
found. So now I cannot add my iPhone to the System.
My next step is to remove the MoneyDance app from the iPhone then add
it back. It is my hope that will work.
Any and all help will be much appreciated. Look forward to your
suggestions.

RicD

The Moneydance iPhone app syncs using the wifi connection rather than the usb connection.
It is necessary to have your iPhone connected to the same local network as your desktop computer in order for it to be detected by the network synchronizer extension.
There are quite a number of possible reason why the network sync extension cannot see the device here is a link to an article that might help your track down the cause.

Hi Ben,
Good news, after uninstalling then installing the iPhone app it did
bring over all 365 days.
So, from your statement, I update MoneyDance on the computer, open
the iPhone app, there is over WiFi an automatic sync . If that is how
it works I like that.
Thank you for your assistance.

Very good, it is nice not having to connect to the computer; WiFi
syncing I like it. By the way, in iTunes I updated my previous week
comment, also gave the app five stars. My user name is RangerRic.
Thank you for your assistance, very much appreciated.
