app crashes every time when sync
I just loaded ver. 1.3 on a 3rd gen touch (64G) running iOS 4.
The app crashes every time on startup during the sync phase. If
there is nothing to sync with the app runs fine. I am running build
9 of Network Synchronizer on MoneyDance 2010r3 (751).
iPAD works fine sync and all.
Anybody else having this problem, better yet 'had' this
problem.
My guess is a iOS 4 glitch :-)

Hi exjimmy
Can you tell me if removing and then reinstalling the iPhone Moneydance app makes any difference? If so, does it reoccur when you have made any changes? If so what changes did you make? Did any of the changes involve split transactions?
Sincerely
Ben Spencer

2nd thing I did, no difference. I do use split transactions a fair amount.

Hi
Are you syncing to the same data file with your iPad?
If you reinstall the app does it sync the first time?
If the app syncs the first time exactly what changes do you make before the failure to sync?
Ben

yes, same data file
no it crashes on sync first time, even after a fresh install
If I don't sync (no money dance available) the program runs fine.

Jimmy,
Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, have you tried booting the desktop app and giving it a few seconds to open, than opening the app second? Our developer is currently working on some fixed to the app and we hope to release them soon (I don't have a more specific timeline). Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,

Angie,
I haven't been home in a few weeks, however it was still crashing last time I tried. I will try your suggestion next week and let you know.

Angie,
I deleted the app from both my iPod and iPad (too many i's) and also deleted the network sync extension. Re-installed all of them (complete with new access keys). Same problem, iPad works fine, iPod (iOS 4) still crashs when ever it tries to sync with the desktop. Works find stand alone.
Anything I can do/send you let me know
Jim

Hi Jim
We have still not been able to reproduce this problem on our test machines. I believe there must be something particular to the setup of your Moneydance data file that is causing the crash. Would you be willing privately email you .md data file to [email blocked]
Sincerely

Let me redact some numbers :-) and I would happy to send it out to you. I won't be home for a couple of weeks so you will have to wait until I can get to my main machine.

Hi Jimmy
I'll leave the case open as long as it takes. I want to get to the bottom of this one.
