They told me the problem was resolved but didn't say how. Could you please try uninstalling the iphone app and resinstalling it. It is possible that something went wrong with the update.</p>

The iPhone app does not parse and evaluate equations but it definitely should not crash when one is entered. I have created a bug ticket and attached it to this case.</p>

<p>I'll run the app for the next couple of days to see what happens and if I have any more bother I will reinstall the app.</p>

<p>I will delete and reinstall later but it does seem that once the problem arises it doesn't go away until a reinstall.</p>

<p>We have seen crashing issues when users are making edits on the app while a sync is occurring. Do you think this could have happened here? Other than that I don't believe we've seen any corruption when editing transactions on the app, but nothing's impossible. I'll test this out a bit myself and see what I can figure out.</p>

<p>I have also had the issue of not being able to enter a description when I add a transaction with the '+' sign. It does not happen all the time but it does happen. As of right now, I cannot enter text in the 'Description' field. I tried restarting the app and even the phone but with no success. I will try syncing to see if that fixes the problem.</p>
<p>My current workaround is to save the transaction and edit it later. Even then, it usually takes 2 or 3 tries before it "remembers" the changes.</p>
<p>Apart from this problem, I love the MD iApp. Thanks a lot for all your work.</p>

<p>From the New Transaction screen, key in the amount then, instead of hitting the description option, hit the > button. <p>Yep, it works with the '>' button (although I sometimes have to 'edit' twice: ie: I enter the description, save the transaction but it appears blank. When I re-edit it, the description is still there and saving it again works).</p>
<p>Note that I just synched with my Mac and everything is back to normal. The two events are definitely linked (ie: it was consistently broken before the sync and now works).</p>

<p>The problem definitely seems to be linked to how much time has
elapsed since the last sync. I have been away from home a couple of
days and have been using the app only (no opportunity to sync). The
problem has now reoccurred.</p>
<p>At a guess it is not the number of transactions entered are
there has not been many. Possibly a memory issue? I have had
several other apps open.</p>
<p>Weather permitting I will get back home tomorrow and will see if

in post 8, above.</p>
<p>I synced last night and all was fine. I have about a fortnight's
worth of future dated transactions in my ledger. One of those items
is my pay cheque, which I split into 6 different items (Gross Pay,
union dues, tax etc). This week I am due a bonus so I changed the
transaction on the iPhone to have a 7th split and saved. The
transaction looks fine and my account balances are correct.</p>
<p>However the problem as originally raised is back. I suspect if I

experienced this problem. i only downloaded the iphone app 5 days
ago and it started almost immediately. sporadic as it is, most of
the time the "description" drop down quick-fill does not work and
the input screen is frozen. i have the ability to enter a
description when i '>' into the 'edit transaction' screen.</p>

now that it's happened we'll be able to focus back on the app in
the next few weeks. Thanks for bearing with us, I know this is a
