Quote Loader not working
I have updated to the latest version of Quote Loader, 330107, and it has stopped working for me. I have tried changing the Source parameter but nothing loads for any source I choose.

Define "stopped working"?
What do you see? What messages?
Please try again, grab help/console, and upload that here...

When I select "Get Prices" it stops at 72%. I get a message from AlphaVantage that I did not capture about too many attempts for the free version? Other times I select "Get Prices" and nothing happens. It just sits there with no feedback or activity. The console attached is when it hung at 72% complete.

The free AlphaVantage service supports retrieving up to 25 quotes per day.

You are getting an error - related to Alpha. It may well be what dwg says, but this trips the code into crashing - which it shouldn't....
Can you change QL's debug settings (console messages) to "Developer", save parameters, close, restart MD... Get the quotes again, then grab/upload a new show console log here? Thanks

This time the get prices finished. The console log is attached.

I also changed the AlphaVantage API calls per minute to "5", the lowest setting.

That doesn’t really help. I need it in developer mode and failing so I can see the error in the log and fix the code. Can you make it fail again and send that log (in developer mode) ?

OK. I changed the AlphaVantage API calls per minute back to "1200" and it failed locking up at 72% complete. Here is the console log with developer mode set. I also received this message on the screen, "AlphaVantage returned: Thank you for using AlphaVantage! Please consider spreading out your free API requests more sparingly (1 request per second). You may subscribe to any of the premium plans at https://www.alphavantage.co/premium/ to lift the free key rate limit (25 requests per day), raise the per-second burst limit, and instantly unlock all premium endpoints"

When I tried to "Get Prices" today I get no response. Here is the console log set to developer.

When you upload log files please ensure they have a .txt extension. Otherwise they cannot be opened on iPhones (for example). Thanks.

I have fixed the original issue. I hope to upload that soon ish.

In the mean time change the requests per minute setting for AV to a
Much lower number.

So upload the log files like this?

QL PREVIEW 330108 is available here:
https://infinitekind.com/app/md/extensions/preview/securityquoteloa...
it stops the hard crash after alpha vantage complains about too many requests..
Regardless, you still need to set a slower call rate in parameters...

Related to the new Alphavantage rate limiting, it would be nice to have an have an option for an API call rate <60 but >>5 in QL.
Thanks for the work on this very useful extension!

I installed PREVIEW 330108 and reduced my AV setting to "5" requests per minute. The "Get Prices" update completed. It just took 20 seconds or so to complete where previously it would update the prices almost immediately. Is the slower run time related to the AV API setting?
Thank you for all of the work on this. I use this extension all of the time and it is very useful. I am very happy it is working again for me.

AV limit the call rate on the free service as well as the number of updates per day. If they detect you exceeding it they block you.
It was my understanding that the free plan limit is 5 per min and max 25 per day. I pulled this information from the AV site some time ago.

The overlimit AV return text is currently:
Alpha Vantage returned: Thank you for using Alpha Vantage! Please consider spreading out your free API requests more sparingly (1 request per second). You may subscribe to any of the premium plans at https://www.alphavantage.co/premium/ to lift the free key rate limit (25 requests per day), raise the per-second burst limit, and instantly unlock all premium endpoints
indicating they are limiting to 1/s. Which makes 5/min too slow and 75/min too fast.

I have added an AV rate of 55 (requests / min) - grab updated preview here:
https://infinitekind.com/app/md/extensions/preview/securityquoteloa...
(still 330108)
