Quote Loader - Historic UK share prices
I have noted that historic share prices are not loaded for days which I haven’t run that on the day. Using Barclays LSE as an example I have tried YahooHD (Barc.l) and FT HD (BARC) and it’s not working. FT enables me to pull down the current but I want missing data so sole advice would be good. It works for investments but not shares.

FT HD does not hold historic share prices only fund prices.
Yahoo HD holds historic share prices but the way Quote loader works it will not fill in gaps. It is designed to pull in prices from the last price in the history until the current price. If there is only one price in the way then obviously you can delete it, but if you are looking for a lot of gap filling then that is not workable.
You can download price history as a CSV file and import it. There is an inbuilt importer or there is the user written security history loader which is more flexible.
The Quotes and Exchange Rate extension did, if I recall correctly, fill in gaps so you could try using that on a one off basis.

Thanks dog - do you mean that Quotes and Exchange Rate extension can fill the gaps drawing down the prices, or if I add them to a civ in the same way as you say that quote loader can do that? Apologies if that is a noddy question but i haven't used the other extension before.
I dont know if enhancements are possible to QL but to fill in the gaps would be a really useful option i would have thought

Q & ER certainly used to fill in the gaps, I have not used that Extension in quite a while.
If you have a CSV file containing prices, depending on the structure, there is an inbuilt importer or a user written extension Security History Loader (by the same author as Quote Loader).
It was a conscious decision in Quote loader to not load history, the desire was to place as little load as possible on the sources. Yahoo especially has a habit of changing their site when they see too much load.
