I would like to write some custom reports that have the same controls as built-in reports and also appear in the reports list. Is there a way to get the source code for one of the built-in reports to easily extend it with new functionality? If not, are there any recommendations for to work in the existing UI?

    Jeff, you might want to look at my bitbucket repository. I have written a general reporting utility for MD.
    look at http://bitbucket.org/mikerb/moneydance-2015/wiki/Home.

    I haven't fully documented yet but the source is all there as is the Budget Report extension that uses it.

    Thank's Mike. I should've been more specific. I was thinking specifically
    about the graphs. But there is some great information here that I will be
    using going forward.

    Any thoughts on adding an entry to the list of graphs and reports?

    This is not yet supported but I think that adding a developer API hooks to support extension reports listing with the native reports is a fine idea. I have mentioned it to the developers.
