debt payoff extension
still hoping someone will bing it back or at least make a newer improved version as it provides the information i need and want in a easy to understand and use format. haven't seen anything yet that comes close enough and provides the same information. I Know moneydance tried top contact the original developer without success so a new improved slightly redesigned version with even a name change is desirable compared to nothing at all. Also still unable to us the new moneydance due to my colorblindness (red/green) bad enough need a seeing eye person to describe so can change settings so that i can see.

Hi Hank,
I'll check on the Debt Payoff extension as someone else recently requested that too. As for the colours, did you know that in Moneydance 2017 you can now specify all of the colours using the theme editor? There are a handful of default themes, including high contrast, but you can set your own colours for pretty much everything in the app.
Thanks,
Sean

Hi Sean
The ability to change themes and in particular the ability to set your own colours for pretty much everything in the app was a great add and a often requested feature.
However, unless the user is prepared to spend a lot and I mean a lot of time experimenting its hard to work out what most of the selections mean. Something like "selectedRowGradient2" dose not exactly explain itself. One wrong selection and your are in a lot of trouble, unless you know to take a copy of custom_theme.properties.
Sean I am sure you put a lot of hard work into this feature, but if its to be of benefit to the average user you need to get one of your support staff to properly document how to use themes. Include screen shot to show what each selections will change.

Hi Sean
Being able to change the the colors is OK but does me no good if
initially i have to guess where things are The initial color set up for
me is unreadable and I should at least be able to do that as a minimum.
I'm still using the 2014 version of Moneydance for that very reason its
basic default colors are easily read and seen I attempted to use the
2017 version but the default colors were both too light and in colors
that are difficult for me to see and after a few tries at adjusting the
colors had it so messed up couldn't read anything as Derek stated there
is little to no documentation describing that this affects that's colors
so is entirely a trial and error as a suggestion set the default colors
to the same as 2014 and should be that everyone can see everything then
documentation describing what affects what would alleviate this . I have
been a faithful user of Moneydance since it first came on the scene in
Linux and would like to be able to continue to do so but as is can not
use the newer versions because of the default colors problem described
For the record I'm 57 years old and my eyesight is not as strong (still
20/20 but a weak 20/20) as it once was either so the strain is
frustrating and tiring. I appreciate you taking the time to listen.
