Text file importing
Is there any instructions on how to run/use this? What format the file needs to be in etc.?
"You may also be interested in the new built-in text file importing with API that is in Moneydance 2017.3:
https://infinitekind.com/dev/apidoc/index.html
(the txtimport package)
It is accessible from the built-in Python environment in Moneydance and I believe it provides most of the same function as the mdcsvimporter code. Sorry that it's not open source, but I'd be happy to help with any questions you may have about it.
Thanks,
Sean"

just a user,
I have used the text file importer extension recently and it seems to be designed for csv format (comma delimited) format for imported files.
Here is some info.

Also found that it worked best when you edit the csv file with excel to eliminate unneeded column headers and extra info.

Hi
It's not really the text file importer extension that I'm interested in as I have used that too. This is referring to a new API method that can be called from the Python window that does a similar thing.
