renew Money Foresight

My money foresight has just started only showing one month. I have registered the product a few years back. do i have to buy a new registration again?

   Hi Scott,

   Thank you for contacting us.
   Please open Moneydance and go to Extensions and open the Money Foresight Extension and the Menu bar will change, then you need to click on Register at the right side of the menu bar.

   If re-entering the registration code doesn't work, I will flag this discussion for the developer of the extension.

   I was able to find the explanation from Kevin S as to how the process works at the Bitbucket site that you provided. I had updated via the MD app and had lost track of my initial registration date. Evidently, if you update after the 12 month free updates period, it will behave as the trial version again. I can roll back my version, or pay 1/2 price for a new registration.

   I had already sent an email to Kevin S, regarding the OP's question, before I saw your post.

   Hi folks,

   scottm and Tony contacted me via [email blocked] and we managed to sort out the issue.

   For the benefit of others, here's a quick description of the problem and how to fix it.

   When a registration code is purchased this is used to unlock the version you have installed and it also entitles you to a free update to any version released within the next 12 months. After 12 months, any new release will behave like the trial version (the future period selector will be disabled). Unfortunately, there is no way for me to hook into the Moneydance Extension Manager and warn you if the version available there will be locked. However, I would like to add something to the extension so that it provides a popup alert after installation.

   If you're stuck in this situation you have a couple of options.
   - Downgrade to any version that was released before your 12 month period expired. - Extend your existing registration code for another 12 months for half price.

   For both of these options, go to the Money Foresight download page and click on the "Already a customer?" button.

   Hi Kevin,

   I received your email, but I'd also like to publicly thank you for your very quick response. I was able to extend my registration for another year, per your instructions.

   I do like the idea of a popup alert and I appreciate the explanation of the limitations that you face with the MD Extension Manager.

   Your extension is a great adjunct to the MD program, it's fairly priced and I really appreciate the 50% discount for the extended registration!
