Security Price Updater Extension Improvements
There are some improvements I'd like to make to the Security Price Updater and am wondering if the source code is available anywhere (eg. on github or similar)?
Changes I would like include:
- Change default date to the current date (instead of the last day of last month). I have lost count of the number of times I've updated prices forgetting to change the date, and then had to go into each security and correct the date!
- Option to only include securities from a specific account.
- Option to only include securities that you currently own (I have loads of shares that I've sold and have zero balance but still show up in the list)
- Sort securities by case insensitive name. They show up in a different order than my broker's web site shows the prices so I have to scroll up and down.
- Adjust the number of digits in the price display. Currently only shows 2 decimals, but securities are quoted to 4 places.
- Option to use pence rather than pound. Most UK securities are quoted as pence per share but they have to be entered in Moneydance as pounds per share requiring you to remember to shift decimal point two places.
